Is It You, Him… or Both?”: What to Do When Your Relationship Feels Off
Have you ever had that lingering feeling that something just isn’t quite right in your relationship—but you can’t put your finger on it?
One moment, you're laughing together, thinking, “Okay, we’ve still got it,” and the next, you’re wondering if you’re growing apart. You start questioning if it’s something you’re doing, if he’s just not present anymore, or if you’re both just coasting.
First, let me tell you this: you are not alone. So many women I coach come to me feeling exactly like this. And guess what? You don’t have to stay stuck in confusion.
Start With You (Because You Matter)
It’s easy to get caught up in analyzing him—what he’s doing, not doing, how he’s changed. But let’s pause for a second and check in with you. How are you feeling about yourself? Are you speaking up about what you need? Are you settling to avoid rocking the boat?
When I work with women through relationship coaching, one of the first things we do is rediscover their voice. Often, they’ve been so focused on nurturing others that they’ve lost connection with their own needs, values, and desires.
If this sounds familiar, know that it’s okay to come back home to you. That’s where real clarity starts.
Communication—or the Lack of It
Let’s be honest: how many times have you replayed conversations in your head, wishing you’d said more... or said less?
Communication is a two-way street, and if you feel like you're always hitting a dead end, it's worth taking a step back to assess how you’re both showing up. Are you truly listening to each other? Or just waiting for your turn to talk (or worse, to defend)?
In our coaching sessions, we don’t just talk about talking—we explore how to connect deeply, share honestly, and listen with intention.
When You’re Growing, But He’s Standing Still
It’s one of the hardest things to admit, but sometimes you are evolving and your partner… isn’t. And that’s tough. You start craving deeper conversations, shared goals, and emotional presence—but he’s still stuck in his routine, unaware of how much you’re yearning for more.
Here’s what I want you to hear: you’re allowed to grow. You’re allowed to want more. And you’re allowed to get support as you figure out what that “more” looks like in your relationship.
Whether you stay, go, or shift the dynamic, the goal of coaching isn’t to make the decision for you—it’s to help you make an empowered decision.
You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
If you’ve been sitting in silence, hoping things will magically change, let this be your sign: it’s time to take a step forward. The confusion, the overthinking, the second-guessing? You don’t have to carry it alone.
At Tina Laws Consulting, I support women just like you in getting clear, confident, and emotionally grounded—so you can show up in your relationship with strength and peace.
You deserve to feel seen, heard, and cherished—not just by him, but by yourself.
